A...AN Wireless is an experienced, fully integrated communications tower manufacturing company with
base operations in Southern Pennsylvania, concentrating mainly on Amateur
Radio, Cellular services, Wireless ISP services, and many other Wireless
markets worldwide.
Q...What
types of communications towers are available from AN Wireless?
A...We
specialize in self supporting towers, meeting application height requirements
of 20' to 100'. We utilize 10 tower sections to meet a variety of height
and windloading combinations for many customers. 17 Towers may be built
using these 10 sections in a different arrangement.
Q...How
can you build 17 Towers from 10 sections?
A...We
do this by changing the stacking configuration for each tower. The Heavy
Duty (HD Series) Towers use the heavier sections to build from, while the
Light Duty (LD Series) Towers use the lighter sections to build from.
Q...What
is an 'HD Series' Tower?
A...The
'HD Series' Towers are towers built using the bottom most sections first
of the 10 available sections. The HD Towers have higher windloading capacity
than the LD Series, wider footprint at the tower's base, and require a
slightly larger sub-surface base. HD Series Towers are available in heights
from 20' to 100'.
Q...What
is an 'LD Series' Tower?
A...The
'LD Series' Towers are towers built using the upper most section first
of the 10 available sections. The LD Towers have less windloading capacity
than the HD Series, smaller footprint at the tower's base, and require
less of a sub-surface base. LD Series Towers are available in heights from
20' to 90'.
Q...How
do these towers ship?
A...All
'AN Series' Towers ship on a wooden freight pallet, in either assembled or unassembled form,
with all structural bolts and related hardware included in a single shipment.
Since all AN Wireless Towers use bolted construction throughout, we can
use this unassembled (knocked-down) shipping option as an advantage to save our customer considerable freight dollars,
and no broken welds to deal with. For towers shipped knocked-down, complete assembly of
an entire tower can be done in an afternoon. We also welcome customer pick-ups by appointment.
Q...What
makes the AN Wireless 'AN Series' Towers better than other towers?
A...Lots
of reasons! For a full list of advantages, have a read through our
advantage
page. Mainly the key advantages are the fact that our towers are made from
higher (50 KSI) yield steel in all legs and brace members, that we offer optional climbing step
bolts with each tower, that we offer 120 MPH wind exposures for many of our towers,
and that our available windloading numbers are above average on all models in this class of tower. We also offer 24/7
customer support, and we can provide turn-key installation services. And perhaps best of all, we are an honest American
company!
Q...How
can I get help to get a permit for my tower?
A...Just
ask! We're more than happy to fax or mail our stamped and sealed tower
engineering paperwork free of charge, if necessary for permitting applications.
Q...Are
there any accessories available for AN Wireless Towers?
A...Absolutely
- a full line of accessories are available for all towers. Rotator plates, thrust bearing plates,
side arms, lifeline systems, anti-climb panels, waveguides, rock/rooftop mounts and many other accessories are available for
our entire series of towers. If you have an installation that requires custom parts, we can
machine these as well in our shop. All mounting plates can be shipped both drilled
and undrilled.
